Pulaski Memorial Hospital provides emergency care services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Physician services in the Emergency Department (ED) are provided through an arrangement with Indiana Emergency Care. Our physicians and nurses are certified in:

Upon your arrival at the ED, report directly to our intake room located just inside the walk-in entrance to the ED. Your needs will be assessed by a nurse, then you will register in the privacy of that same area.

Our registration associate will ask for the following information:

From the intake room, you will be taken to an exam room. The physicians and nurses will complete their entire assessment and treatment in that room. You may be sent to another department for tests, such as Diagnostic Imaging. Other hospital staff may come to your room and perform procedures like an EKG or blood draw. The length of time you spend in the exam room depends on the number of tests you need and how long the tests take to process. When your test results are received and the doctor has reviewed them, he or she will see you again to discuss the results.

The nurse or doctor will go over your discharge instructions with you, and you will receive a copy of the instructions. You may be given a prescription for medicine, along with instructions to follow up with a doctor. You may be given educational materials regarding your condition.
