Part time - 20 hours weekly
| Phlebotomist/Lab Clerical5 shifts per pay period, 8-hour shifts . Weekend rotation and occasional coverage of other shifts.
Summary. Due to the comprehensive training required for this role, seasonal or short-term employment is not offered. Requirements: Performs blood collection on all patient populations and ages using a variety of procedures. Performs drug screen collection. Performs CLIA waived testing as allowed by regulations. Utilizes a positive patient and sample identification. Interprets provider orders accurately. Uses critical thinking skills/problem solving when identifying more difficult collections. Interacts with lab and nursing staff, providers, other hospital staff, patients, and family members to meet the needs of the patient. May rarely perform off-site collections at health fairs or other events. Skills/Knowledge: Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering patient care. Job requires steady hands, clear speech, walking and carrying of objects <50 pounds.Skills/Knowledge: 1) Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred. We also offer on the job training for phlebotomy. 2) Must have good computer skills. 3) Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and maintain positive interaction with all patients and staff 4) Applicants must have the ability to perform job duties and assigned tasks with accuracy, reliability, and precision. 5) Ability to be organized to complete job duties and assigned tasks within expected timeframes. 6) Ability to interact with patients of diverse ages, backgrounds, values, beliefs and behaviors compassionately and effectively. 7) Utilize proper technique for when performing all tasks. 8) Must utilize proper safety techniques and equipment and be willing to care for infectious patients. 9) Must have a valid driver’s license, pass a physical, and pass substance abuse screenings
