Helping the mother with her new son/daughter doesn't begin during labor or end after the baby is born. The Maternity Unit offers a wide range of support programs. We provide prenatal and ongoing education, baby care demonstrations, and if the mother chooses to breastfeed, our lactation consultants and counselors can visit the mother during her stay to provide guidance and answer questions to help the mother achieve a successful lactation experience.
